How the Blurt login works
Ask for a challenge
The server generates a one-time nonce for your Blurt username and hands it to your browser. It expires in 6 minutes and can only be used once.
Sign it locally
Your posting key (WIF) is decoded in the browser, derives your BLT public key and signs the challenge with secp256k1. The private key itself never leaves the page.
Verify on-chain
The server calls the Blurt RPC (condenser_api.get_accounts), compares the derived key with your account's posting key_auths and checks the signature before creating a session.
